Puppy Terms and Conditions

 ****South Mountain Labs Reserves the Right to the First Pick Female and Male from each litter*****

• A $500 deposit will hold your “PUPPY SLOT” on our wait list. This deposit is non-refundable but can be used on any subsequent litter owned Brenda  Griffith for 12 months from receipt. Deposits are refundable only in the unlikely event that the pup gets sick, injured or      dies, or if there is no puppy available of the sex that you reserved. 
•  Puppies will be dewormed, have 1st vaccinations, microchipped, vet checked, AKC papers, well socialized, started on potty training & lifetime breeder support, along with lifetime return/surrender (no monitary exchange) if for any unforeseen reason you cannot keep your pup. 
• Your puppy will come with an AKC limited registration.      This is an AKC registration which is perfect for pets, obedience dogs,      agility dogs, hunting dogs, dock diving, therapy dogs, etc. If you are interested in breeding or showing in AKC      conformation classes, you will need a full registration. Otherwise, a      limited registration is just fine. If at a later time, you wish to upgrade      to a full registration, you must request the upgrade and pay the      additional amount for a full registration. However, upgrades to a      full registration is only for approved buyers. Limited AKC registration puppies are $2850 . Full AKC   Registration (approved buyers only) puppies are $5000.  Unless otherwise specified, all of our puppies come      with a 26 month health & temperament guarantee as follows: Your puppy is guaranteed to be in good health at      time of sale. Your pup has had one set of vaccinations/health by a  licensed vet and has been wormed at least three times. A vaccination/microchip record from a licensed veterinarian    will be supplied at time of pick up. You are required to take your pup to your veterinarian of      choice within 5 business days of pick-up. (Failure to have your pup      vetted within the required time period voids all warranties). If your      puppy is found to have a major problem at this time which is hereditary via DNA testing     and not injury related, it is returnable with a full refund of purchase      price. (proper documentation from licensed veterinarian required. Seller      reserves right to get a second opinion) presence of parasites, protozoa or      bacteria is not unusual in puppies of this age and is not considered to be      a major problem. A continuing regiment is recommended to eradicate. We      furthermore guarantee for 24 months against heart conditions or  genetic conditions that parents have been tested and cleared for including Dilute Free, EIC, PRA-prcd, HNPK, Centronuclear Myopathy, Cystinuria, Degenerative Myelopathy, Copper ATP7A, Copper ATP7B, Stargardt Disease.  Puppy injuries after leaving South Mountain Labs are not warrantied.   A replacement      puppy will be given upon receipt of above. If buyer would like to have the      money instead of puppy then assigned puppy will be sold and check to be      given to buyer (not to exceed the price of original puppy). This is a      one-time replacement and no further guarantees are made. 
• We do not guarantee against infertility or other      breeding problems. Our puppies are sold and guaranteed as      exceptional pets. 
• Except as noted above, all sales are final. 
• Your puppy is being purchased with an AKC Limited Registration.      *unless otherwise agreed upon* Your pup cannot compete in AKC conformation      shows and any offspring of your pup cannot be registered with AKC. You may      still compete in agility and obedience events, as well as dock diving and      hunting trials. 
• Deposits are not transferable to another person.      Deposits are however, transferable to another puppy or another litter,      providing that notice is given to seller before puppy is 4 weeks old.      Buyer has 365 days from deposit date to choose another puppy. It is buyer's      responsibility to check South Mountain Labs website or with seller to take      advantage of this option. After 365 days...the deposit is forfeited. 
• Seller accepts cash and/or checks and major credit      cards via PayPal. 
• ** ALL PUPPIES MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE THEIR 7 WEEK      BIRTHDAY**
